The dust has settled, the bombs have been blown, the times set..
Some teams made it all the way through, some fell at the first hurdle, but two teams made it all the way through to the end, fighting the bitter battle in various arenas of warfare…
The teams…. HAWK and Exile…
The tournament started off with a few tams, but got cut down to just 10 teams after some of them couldn’t field a full squad. The teams were as follows
Team Exile, Team Necrotic, Cross:+:Breed, Vote, Total Havoc, Extreme Soldiers
Back up in your ass with the resurrection, Teh BirdZ, sexodus, [BOX], HAWK
Below are the round times for each match.

Final Score: 3-0 – Sexodus
Round 2: MP_BEACH
Now with MP_BEACH being the staple map of RtCW, We were expecting some quick times but in our first match it was kind of a rick-roll as Waffle faced off against a very strong HAVOK team.
Waffle vs HAVOK (Havok sstarting first)
1. HAVOK set a 6:22, keeping Waffle to a Full Hold
2. Full Hold, HAVok Set a 3:46
3. HAVOK set a 3:26, keeping Waffle to a Full Hold
Final Score: 3-0 – HAVOK
S exodus vs HAWK (S exodus starting first)
This match was apparantly by some accounts going to be a preview of the finals as a lot of people predicted that it was either going to be S exodus in the finals vs HAWK or Exile staring them down…..
Starting off with a DOUBLE HOLD in the first round it seemed like it indeed was going to be a clash of the titans, HAWK though came back and set a respectable 5:32 and kept S exodus to a Full Hold.
The final round however everyone thought that S exodus was again going to be kept to a full hold, but with 8 seconds left, “OOT” finally decided to remove the thumb from his butt and get the documents finally actually setting a time of 7:52.. That’s right just 8 seconds left….
With everything to play for, HAWK just had to beat what was effectively a full hold, which they did setting a final round time of 5:26
Final Score, 3-1 – HAWK
Round 3: MP_ICE (Semi Finals)
The Semifinals were covered on WOLFTV, Hawk Played BOX aka Syndicate and old man Gromit tried to do his best to keep his team together, but the powerhouse that is HAWK totally dominated them, there was a few good moments in there and they tried their best. HAWK set times of 3:10, 3:10, and 3:17 which Syndicate/BOX were unable to beat
Exile vs Havok was reviewd by TWL|Kn1ght, and he said that they posted these times:
1. Havok: 9:46 – Exile replied: 4:17
2. Exile: 9:42 – Havok: Full Hold
3. Havok: Full Hold – Exil 2:34
Final Score: 3-0 – Exile
Round 4 – Teh Finals (MP_VILLAGE)
Finals matches on MP_VILLAGE are generally interesting as they are because of the many twists, turns and little hiding spots you get on this map. There are so many routes to follow that it is easy to get lost and/or confused on this map and the cast shows when one player who had the documents went down into the cellar, only to return up the ladder thinking that he didnt have them and they were returned… only to be slaughtered like a pig and the docs returned anyway
Once again we started off with a full hold by both teams in the first round, Exile starting the 2nd round very strong posting a 5:37 and keeping a confused HAWK team to a full hold. HAWK came back in the third by doing to Exile what Exile did to HAWK in the second, only with an even faster time of 3:55, Exile unable to beat that.
So into the last round of the tournament with the scores standing all tied at 2-2. Exile going backwards and forwards with the documents they nearly got it a couple of times, but a sneaky axis player sitting in the corner by the truck screwed them over and they finally managed to set a time of 8:07.
Now it was down to HAWK… all they had to do was post a time…. simple enough right??? well obviously not… Exile knowing this was do or die for them, pulled out the big guns, keeping HAWK at bay for most of the match. HAWK put up a valiant effort to try and break the Exile defence, but to no avail.
Final score: 3-2 – Exile |
